    Thanks for the tips guys.

I re-read the paragraph in SC and pondered on the ref to Gardener writing about the importance of paradise place names. Any one know which book AC is referring too?

A few days later I found this marvellous bit of software on the web

    http://leisure.ordnancesurvey.co.uk/lei … blisher=os

Type in any place name – such as ‘barrow’ or even ‘paradise’ and all references to it in the UK come up. Click on the link and away you go.

    Hope it helps

Cheers Simon. Havnt heard anything back yet though… anyone else had any luck?

Yup I also voted for the middle option. Making them open brings in more ideas and enables the flow of knowledge.

Certainly in the past, if I felt something was too sensitive to be ‘out there’ I would either not post that part or take it to PM.

    You go for it Simon!

    Hi all

The reintegratin of the ‘entitiy’ back into this man’s body sounds very much like to me a passage in Dion Fortune’s ‘Psychic Self-Defence’ when, lying on a bed brooding about a female friend who had done her wrong, she ‘accidently’ expelled a wolf/man type figure. in the book she says that she had accidentally stumbled on a method of producing though forms. the wolf then proceeded to haunt the petrified household for a day until Dion successfully reintegrated vack into herself.

As I seem to recall she was no worse for the affair but did them have a healthy resepct for her thoughts.

    Just my 2p!

    Oh well thats that then!

I did have a long and ranting post about this written but then by router crashed.

I’m taking that as a sign to say that what goes around comes around.

Now there’s service for you!

Yup, totally echo Yuri’s points here – it isn’t about good v evil, life just aint like that.

Got to say, I feel that some of your later comments MadDan are a tad unfair. I don’t think that the impression is given that you can just walk away – no probs, no issues. Life just aint like that either. All black questing has some degree of inherent risk attached. Just look what it did to poor Bernard! He really suffered and then jacked it in- sensibly!

And also, just because Andy doesn’t talk about the negative effects it may or may not have had on him, doesn’t mean to say that there weren’t any. Unless he choose to speak in detail we will just have to wait.

In many cases, the best any of us can do is to attempt to heal what mess is left. People who pollute our ancient and beautiful sites are at best idiots and at worst the slime of humanity. Personally I object to morons who seem to view our ancient land as their domain. These Isles belong to all of us and it is all our responsibility that they are cared for. Not only does it honour our ancestors, it honours us.

I have been involved in some of the activities at Binsey (see thread) and ‘plugging yourself into the network’ as it were does carry its own burden. At present for me, it is forms of uneasiness and brooding feeling. Who can say in time how far it will go?

And lastly (and then rant will be over – promised!) Andy has given allot to the PQ community. I reckon if he wants to step away from black questing now and move onto more positive quests, who can blame him?

Saying that, you have posed an interesting questing concerning TBA – and one that I have wanted to know the answer to for a very long time. Perhaps Andy will release more info one day. But in the mean time, you may find this link very interesting. It concerns what TBA may have got up to before the eighties.

    Hi all

I just wanted to reply to say that I saw your Bohran in a shop in Glasters! Could’ve knocked me down with a feather! It was amazing being able to talk to the lady about how that piece came about.

    Looked amazing Yuri!

Right then! I’m going to go back with an enormous lens. You see at first I thought that they must be carrying their own names. I can see scraps of others but not the entire thang.

I’ll go back and get some piccies. Ta for all your help.

in reply to: Xmas Break #1888

very possibly – the end of the word is tilted away from the viewer although I’m pretty sure it says Joanna.

I’m now really very intrigues as to what’s written on the others!

in reply to: Xmas Break #1886

Cheers for that Supernaturialist – v intresting. I feel too that ‘Joanna’ may have some significance to that church as well.

I agree – North door entrance is very odd… and this is a very old church. Dates from 675 AD although there is no surviving fabric in situ from that building – though I did find a ref to some of the stonework from the saxon church being incorproated into another wall. This also raises the possibility that this was no mere wooden chapel, although it may well have started out that way.

Main building dates from 12 cent I think – Norman certainly. Although it has been added on and modified in every period therafter. That is why its so wide – they simply built around rather than added on to the end.
Google Earth shows a very odd building indeed – more like a factor with its pitched roofs rather than a church!
