    Hello

Sorry for finding this late. I have been rather busy lately and don’t often check this site as often as I used to.

The artefact was a home-made pendulum made from a lead fishing weight on string. I happen to also have a photo of the stone from Gaynor which she kindly offered to sign and threw in with the pendulum. I still have it.
Now the Green Stone documentary. I do have a dvd backup copy of it which you’ve just reminded me about, thanks. It’s been awhile since I viewed it, but it’s definately worth seeing and a real rarity.
It’s really something that should be of interest for the questing community and really needs to be preserved for all to see. If Mr “C” has strong objections I won’t copy circulate it which was the concern awhile back, but I can’t see why not, with the anniversary of the green stone story and all?

Give me a chance to locate it and we can go from there. I might even post it on you tube, but it’s getting the time.

    Hello Hernes Son,
Apologies for the late response to your earlier posting – I’ve omly recently joined!

What was the actual artifact that was being sold on ebay that Marion and Gaynor Sunderland had used in their psychic quests? I’d be interested to know just out of curisoity.

Also, from a few years ago I note that you bidded for a copy of The Green Stone video from, I believe, one Andy Roberts. Were you successful in this bid and, if so, do you still have the copy and are you prepared to make copies to sell to an interested party?

    Many thanks for reading this.

Ah, okay I’m understanding a little better now. Thanks Andy. So, it’s more a case of not believing in psychics. Well, again isn’t it all down to that interpretation of the material? Psychics sometimes/often get it wrong, like the rest of us. They see pictures and sounds and the brain automatically puts this all through a big filter and tries to rationalise it. Personal beliefs also influence the outcome. People like Andy who’ve worked with a large number of psychics have this on board and interpret the information maybe differently again, so the original info at best may get a little warped.

Are we talking about Bernard Gowing here, or the Helen woman? It’s been a little while since reading BA. It’s conceivable that the Black Alchemist may have been infact a deep rooted subsconscious creation of one or more of the people involved. I don’t think this myself though.
I never actually liked the BA nickname. It put it in the realms of DC comics. You could almost see this figure twirling his moustache and gleefully talking about how evil he was, like some cartoon villain! LoL

There are people here who are far more qualified to explain that the supernatural is quite real, and psyhic ability properly channeled and interpreted can be amazingly accurate. The military and the police have been using psychics for over 30 years. Kings and Queens have always had astrolgers and psychics to guide them through life and decisions. It’s well catalogued.
I myself lived with a poltergeist for about 10 years as a child and experienced lucid dreams, past lives and apports at the age of 5.

I’m not out to change anyone’s mind. It has to be your choice on what you believe Andy, but like Simon, I’d certainly urge you to not be quite so closed no matter how much research you may have done. There’s very compelling evidence out there and a lot is being proven by quantum physics now. Lab experiments have been coming up with some fantastic results but they never seen to get the worldwide attention they deserve. Too many people still fear for their jobs and reputations if they were to come out with all their findings.

The content of this book is ridiculous, the only thing good about it is the money i got when i sold it.[/quote:7dc7b2292e]

Well, every man is entitled to their opinion.

Whilst I can relate to the principle of what you are saying I, personally, don’t write them off as fairy stories like you do. When I first discovered the world of questing, like yourself I saw them with a certain wide eyed, unquestioning faith. I lapped it up.
Now, with more knowledge and years behind me I have come back to them again and again and still pretty much believe that it was all part of a vision quest that was believable to those involved. Yes, maybe some kind of group euphoria was evident, and they all convinced themselves that higher things were going on when perhaps they might not have been, but it makes the phenomena ever the more interesting. Isn’t this how magic works after all?

What I’m saying is that no one I think was deliberately out to decieve. Not Andy or Graham anyway. Maybe I am still being naive, but as Andy has said re.those books, a number of things you can now see are historically bogus. Some however still hold up. I certainly wouldn’t berate them for expressing a theory.
Certain events in those books are bundled together making it sound more dramatic than maybe it sometimes was, and more frequent that it actually was. Two events instead of being back to back, probably occured with a gap of a few months. No less magical because it didn’t happen instantaneously.

Of course where psychics are concerned (and yes, we’re all psychic to an extent) I don’t think for one moment that Andy wasn’t on his guard, thinking he might be being led on a merry dance. There are always people out to deceive, intentionally or subconsciously due to some kind of personal problems. For things to happen, you have to run with it sometimes and take people as they present themselves, fantasists or not. That’s the only way you are going to uncover the truth.
Now, it maybe seem ludicrous that all these magical happenings might be put down to a natural phenomena, but there are more things in heaven and earth.

I’d be more productive if you could expand on what you disliked and didn’t agree with. At the end of the day, prove that Andy is wrong? You cannot as much as Andy can prove all the events are correct.

I personally still love how the books are written, in that kind of diary format. Perhaps it does rather cheapen the seriousness of the material, but if you want to sell books you have to make them so they will appeal and draw people in. The covers of the Green Stone books for example made them look like Science Fiction works.

in reply to: Price Guide? #2522

The Questing Back catalogue like all things fluctuates depending on demand. Copies of The Green Stone and The Eye of Fire consistantly seem to go for at least £30+ Hardback copies of the Green Stone can demand £100+
A first edition Seventh Sword has been selling lately for as little as £20, and as much still as £100 or more.
You can catch a real bargain sometimes if you just wait. Sometimes a few copies will go up together on Ebay and that usualy drives the price down a bit.

I have, at various stages, owned quite a lot of the questing books, and still have The Black Alchemist Supplement and copy of the audio tape Andy produced with it. It’s a recording of an impromptu interview between him and Bernard at Danbury.

I’ve always been pretty lucky sourcing spares. Perculiarly, I often get a “sense” if I’m just about to discover one. I don’t know what that means exactly… I’ve found several copies of the Green Stone in charity shops for as little as £2.

One I do regret selling is the very rare Web Quest which I believe went to our very own Wembaster of the PQP!
The Sun and the Moon… is a very good read too.

Sue. Well done on your purchases. I do recall seeing a very happy lady clutching an armful of books at the Weekender, looking like the cat that got the cream!
As regard the whereabouts of the Green Stone and Casket. I think the details are still confidential. I only to recall the hype it got and the battle to keep it within the “community,” a battle which I (think) was lost? I wonder now what its further destiny is exactly, if anything. Has it told all it was required to tell. Isn’t it now just a relic of successful questing, or will new blood extract further missing knowledge not revealed the first time?

    Hi Simon.

Sorry about that. The site you have here is great, but in my own personal opinion it’s rather cold, jumbled, and would benefit from a small overhaul to make it more accessible.

Yes, I will be at the weekender. Haven’t managed to attend a PQC for about 4 or 5 years, but now its almost on my doorstep I’d be stupid not to attend. I’m usually in or passing through Avebury at least twice a month. The Weekender idea seems more personable, more hands on, and I like that the conferences have come back to its roots. Hopefully it will be a huge success.

    See you there.

Hi. Ye gods, another Andy in the questing community! :D
Welcome. How is Orkney? I was there a few years back. Absolutely loved the place.

LoL :) Yes, I believe I posted a link to this previously in this thread.
I’m not sure how Cthulhu would take to being personified as a small green hand puppet, but the series of episodes are quite amusing. Whoever did the voice, it kind of reminds me of the US tv show, A.L.F in the 1980′s.

‘I will swallow your soul!’ Indeed.

    Nevermind. Appreciate you looking Richard!
Just ordered The Necronomicon Files. Should be with me sometime this coming week ….

Michael. Thanks so much for posting this link. I’ve now downloaded all of Dr Woodman’s lectures and will be emmersing myself in them this weekend!

Richard. Hello! Thank you kindly for replying! I’ll be extremely interested if you manage to find that article, yes!
In the mantime, I have a few things to read up on now… :)

in reply to: Running Well Mystery for Sale on eBay #2361

Absolutely! I had no idea there had been a hardback version of this book, which I also have to admit, I’ve never read. For its scarcity, I’d say the pricing is worth it, but the condition brings it down slightly.
I’ve been eyeing up copies that have come up in the past, but they’ve always been above my budget at the time. Spare copies of Andy’s and Graham’s books seem to eventually ‘find me’ ever so often, so I’ll just bide my time …

I see Andy has announced he will finally republish “The Black Alchemist” with added material. Also, it appears BA has a My Space page! LoL :D twisted:

in reply to: SWORDS OF MEONIA #2359

The Heart of the Rose. Yes, somewhere in the Malvern Hills, on a hill known as White Druid Leaf Oak (?) I seem to recall. I have some literature from Paul Weston which I must dig out.
I took part in Paul’s mass meditation, the “Circle of Perpetual Choirs” in 1999 at Glastonbury. Andy and co were at the heart with the seven swords.
No one has been able to tell me what the result of this ever was, if there was indeed any conclusion. But that was possibly the last time the swords were used together, to my knowledge.

in reply to: SWORDS OF MEONIA #2339

    Malcolm,

Thank you for that. It’s been a long while since I read The Seventh Sword and I confess to have forgotten the history behind these interesting objects. You’ve compelled me to root out my copy and start re-reading it.

Many thanks for doing the photos. I’ll email shortly.
To post them on this forum you would certainly need a url link. I use http://www.webshots.com or imageshack – both free picture loading services which provide you with a web link which you can then post here. Just a suggestion as I’m sure people here would love to see your swords.

Your story about ‘knowing that you would possess one’ reminded me of a story of my own, nothing to do with the Meonia swords, but somewhat related of sorts. My partner and I are huge fans of the tv series Robin of Sherwood. One of the episodes involved a tale where a powerful coven were hunting for the seven swords of Wayland in order to use their power to bring Lucifer (why go for second best?) into the world!
To cut a long story short, one of these swords (arguably tv props, but actually inscribed with a real talismanic spell on each blade) came into our possession under similiar circumstances. My partner distinctly heard a voice in her head, ‘the sword is yours!’
Kind of weird. Very cool. :D

    Thanks for your post Malcolm.
I would be most interested if you would post a link to a picture or two of your swords. May I ask, what has prompted you to try to locate one of these for so long? What are the origins of these daggers? Anyone know how many there are out there? So, this puts pay to the “seven swords of Meonia” I guess? Maybe 70 swords … ? LoL :P

Awesome, did you see they recently caught a “Collosal Squid”, poor beastie. I live in underwater cities in my dreams too (I am half Deep One myself) and have worked as an industrial diver in offshore diamond mining in some of the foulest, blackest, coldest water – arrgh! Seriously, I’m kind of obsessed.

Yes I did! What a beast! Imagine diving and seeing that sucker coming towards you. Kiss your butt goodbye, Cthulhu lives!

This is a bit of light fun, but very very funny. At least I think so.
