Another tidbit re: Cygnus, I had an amazing synchronicity recently: I joined an elist exploring Vril and I mentioned Cygnus, it turned out one of the members had been working with Cygnus on a subtle level for years by way of a 1920′s german occultist “Peryt Shou”. Shou developed some exercises for turining oneself in an “antena” (this was before radio astronomy by the way) aligned with Cygnus to receive comunications from what he called “The Leauge of Truth”. It’s in a book by Shou and in a chapter of Edred Thorsson’s _ Rune Might_ called “The Ritual of the Ninth Night”.

That is really interesting! I appreciate the recommendation, and so I imagine would Andy Collins. Perhaps it’s worth emailing him just to see if it is beneficial to his work at all? I will certainly be checking out Peryt Shou. I’ve never heard of him.

Not sure if this is down your alley but I picked up a cd several years, which is a kind of ‘War of the World’s’ meets Cthulhu Mythos, musical!
It’s set in the modern day around the Millenium celebrations, with suitably theatrical songs and creepy sound effects.

It’s called Mythos: The Talisdream Mission

Wow! Thank you. I didn’t realise that! It’s been a while since I read The Colour From Outer Space. I’ve been working through Andy’s Cygnus Mystery for a few months. I just never seem to get the time to sit down right this minute. I’m going to have to revisit that me thinks.

Questing and Cthulhu I’m sure could go absolutely hand in hand, but I’m not sure I’d really want to go too far down that road.
I remember Richard W. going through a few of the UK sites said to be connected with the mythos reality. He clearly warned of the consequences, that it could quite literally make you go mad as the mythos is such a dark abyss, full of some pretty grotesque stuff.

I too have had a few Lovecraftian dreams, usually of underwater cities and kraken type beasties chasing me across plains! Plays like a bad B-movie :?

I’d love to hear more of your thoughts, if you care to share. I’m really only a novice in such matters.

    Ah! Sorry Richard.
Lots of Richards and Andy’s in the questing community. Should I change my name?

Perhaps an email to McCoy or The Watchman or whatever asking for the article? Maybe you could try Richard Ward himself at his site?

D’Oh! Yes, quite right. I should really have thought to do that sooner, I was just taking the lazy route. You don’t get anything by sitting around willing it into existence … hang on, I’m not so sure there! 8)

Hi Richard. Is that Richard Ward in person?

Thanks for responding all the same.
No, I’ve been trying for ages to log in to the FoTN website. Are they ever going to get that fixed? Yes, I was in the middle of trying to lift the article by retyping it when the section went belly up.
    Shame.

Do you have your notes from the talk still? Would you be prepared to write an article for this forum? I’d love to read a little from your research.

    Cheers

No, I’m curious as to the removal too.
I heard Andy and he had fallen out some time ago at the same time the Green Stone went up for sale. Maybe he took this to be a sign that his involvement in that side of his life had finished and wanted to move onto his historical work?
I am curious what’s happened to Graham.
I long gave up on his site after enthusiastically signing up for his MSG Group with the hope to discuss/ask questions about questing and the Green Stone as well as his other historical work. There’s been no input by him for a long while.
I find his historical detective books interesting and readable, but don’t always like the huge jumps in logic he occasionally does. That’s why I like Andy’s material much more. It tends to be backed up more with solid research.
Graham’s research seems also to be slightly less accepted than Andy’s. That’s just my observation. The programme on The Grail with Tony Robinson seemed to really take the mick out of his research.

    Was Graham at the PQC?

Someone with crossed legs usually denotes the need for a toilet!
Sorry, yes, Yuri you are correct. It meant they had been in the crusades. There are variations too. A knight with crossed legs on the back of a lion meant that they had died specifically in the service of the king. I’ve also seen effigies resting on dogs, boars … not quite sure of their meaning however. I think the position of the arms also has significance.

Very ultra modern, but I actually prefer it to the black Eden background.
A lot of interesting new information here too.
    Well done Andy!

Only just saw your post having not been here for a week or two. I appreciate the insight into the contents of the video, Yuri. Thank you.

Even given the fact it may not cast anything new on the saga, more existing as an “embarassing” curio, I’d still love to see it!
Well, Beltane is here. I don’t expect to have won the bid for the video, but whoever has undoubedly has a rare keepsake for their collection.

** No, not at all. **

It certainly is – why don’t you buy it then you can copy as many as you want to DVD and give them away if you choose. If it’s not sold soon I’ll just give it away anyway, but it won’t be within the PQ community then.

** You say you are excepting bids of over £30? What is the current bid offer, may I ask? If no one has brought yet I am prepared to put in a bid for £31. **

    Thanks.

    Hi, and thanks.

Copyright issues? It’s a homemade video I assume not a professional official release.
I’m sure none of the protagonists have a problem with this video being out there, if so – then why?
Why must everything be about selling to the highest bidder where it might be ferreted away never to see the light of day, like the Green Stone itself?

Surely it is good that this thing is seen by as many people as possible.
Proceeds of each sale could go to the contributors, i.e. GP, AC and co.

It makes sense does it not?

Just my 2 cents. No disrespect intended.

in reply to: Green Stone video for sale #2117

I would be interested in seeing this or hearing more details at least.
Perhaps whoever buys it will be good enough to sell copies so that not only one person can benefit, but the whole questing community.

in reply to: The Green Stone has left the building #2021

Indeed. Infact, I wonder exactly what the spirit realm would say about someone effectively ransoming off artefacts (which they are only custodians of) for material gain? …
What’s with this childish attitude too about burying the artefacts if people don’t play their little game? That’s what really got me.
This whole charade seemed to be poorely managed from beginning to end.
The Green Stone may no longer have any further purpose, and was a means to an end – a token gift – but the way in which its fate was so wantenly ‘thrown to the wind’ after promises were made, is nothing short of reprehensible.

Excellent post from AC, puts things into perspective!

    Very true.
I must admit, when I saw a display of various questing artefacts at a QC a number of years ago, I was a little bit bemused, especially on having read the dramatic way these objects had been discovered to the world, I thought they would resonate some “archaic power” more than they did. Maybe I just wasn’t “in touch.”
Obviously, I never got to handle them, but they looked just a little “too perfect.” I was standing next to a friend who was an archaeologist, who was equally perplexed.
I’ve seen stuff that has come out of the ground after centuries… Okay, some were apports.
Not suggesting deliberate fakery but the whole Green Stone Auction farse has got me suspicious. Surely something of such unique value should stay in the Q community. AC and Graham Phillips have had a difference of opinion over this, am I correct? Surely two successful writers would be able to stump up enough cash to buy something which has been so fundemental to their whole questing lives these past 30 years?
When I heard that donations were being asked, I was in two minds.

Not meaning to be overly critical, but the can of worms was already open. This event has raised some concerns from numerous people that’s all.
