So, on the one hand, ‘keen that they remain in the questing community’ but on the other hand, if you dont get the desired amount of money you’ll bury them in an unmarked grave rather than put them into the questing community… contradictory no? I’m sure they’ll just go to the highest bidder.
Yep!… it a bit odd… didnt realise we were being editted like this?
Wow, Michael, brilliant!
Check this out

The front of the casket has Wayland the elven Blacksmith holding a decapitated head in some blacksmiths tongues, and the very next accompanying panel shows the nativity of JC…. suggesting that the two stories are linked in some way… lol
Given me much to think about…
I’ll be in touch soon.
Thats really interesting Michael,
Just recently a friend was explaining various Gnostic beliefs to me. About the ladder between hell and heaven, how angels try and encourage you up and devils pull you down… and that if the devils devour you then in a way you are crushed and refined and phoenix-like can rise anew out of the ashes to fly up the ladder…
…It turns everything up-side-down… In a way, the devils serve your evolution more so than the angels, and the angels are holding you back from getting refined and crushed.
Its an interesting conundrum. The Waterboys sang something about the afterlife either being ‘Summoned by Angels or punished by Demons for the same time endlessly’… Me personally, I dont care for either, Angels or demons and would rather stay balanced…. My friend described the Demons crushing and destroying the ego so that the self can become enlightened, yet the desire itself to become enlightened has an element of ego to it… So, if you desire to go up the ladder, by default you’re going to get pulled down….. lol
If your idea is true about the Magdalene (and I think its a great idea) then surely this means she is a very powerful person, having been refined and thus ‘enlightened’, making her more profound than J C’s disciples who are still very human and full of uncertainties.
Thanks Michael.
The article i read is really a small booklet by Mark McGiveron that isnt in print yet but will be in the near future… an indepth study of Joseph of Arimathea.
Mark quotes a couple of authors, (someone called Carrier) and talks about the ‘harvesting of body parts’ happening in the New Testiment times… it was of course illegal with certain exceptions… the remains of slaves or criminals were available to anyone; and it was pefectly legal to own these bits and pieces.
This applied to most crucifixions too (which were in the eyes of Rome, criminals) Crucifixion, not only a horrible death but also you were denied a grave because if you werent left to the birds of prey you were thrown into a communal pit of bodies, unmarked… and easy pickings for body part harvesters.
Of course, Jo of A requests Jesus’s body so that it can be saved from these horrible crucifixion aftermaths… really this isnt what interested me…
…for sure, the magical power of any artifact is in the belief of the holder. That said, a talented psychic can tell you things about someone just by psychometrising their watch or hanky…. What would a psychic get if they actually held a significant person’s skull for instance?
Imagine what it would be like to hold john the baptisits skull in your hands… or Hitlers… or Henry the VIII’s… or Plato’s…. in the hands of a ‘sensitive’ person… what input would they recieve?
I’m thinking that Salome’s request of John’s head was less to do with her mother’s spite but more to do with possessing this great miracle worker’s power and trying to tap into it…
…just pondering it really.
Great to see you have everything fixed Simon… it seemed to last the best part of a week that nothing would come up for me, PsychicQuesiting.com had just dissappeared.
Hope things stay stable, all the best
Yuri.
Perceval is most likely right. Vixen you need to clarify things by getting a difinitive photo.
That said, Joanna is a genuine saint (but not as tetramorph as far as I know) interstingly though, she is connected to John the Baptist as it is believed that she was responsible for burying his head (oracular head stuff again) see this link
http://www.catholic-forum.com/saints/saintj2l.htm
But this is odd either way as whether Joannes (the Baptist) or Joanna, neither of them is John the tetramorph, the gospel writer.
Happy New Year to all
I had a good one and have managed not to eat too many mince pies, but did drink a bit too much (I’ll lose some Tai Chi stars for that but I’m back on the getting healthy track)
I proof read Andrew Collins’ new book. It would be wrong for me to say too much about it (even the working title gives it away a bit… so I wont mention it until Andy starts to promote it himself.) So, well, its 20 chapters long and full of fascinating historical evaluation of the world’s cultures, from about 17,000 B.C. onwards… It is more in the vein of ‘From the Ashes of Angels’ it’s not a ‘Questing’ book like The Seventh Sword or the Black Alchemist… its due to be launched in October.
I am also joining the ‘Association of Erotic Artists’ in a bid to become more financially successful; that said, the artwork that I am planning (albeit erotic) is also going to be largely based on Faerie lore and ‘Otherworld’ feelings… Think ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ with extra sexy bits… and thats kind of where my thoughts are heading.
As well as my Gwyn booklet I have also written an article about the ‘Sinclairs’ and the origins of their name, for issue 8 of the ‘Temple booklet’ which’ll be out in March… I’ll let everyone know when it is so.
I’m staying in Glastonbury and focusing on writing. I have made a start on my ‘Gwyn ap Nudd’ booklet; will be sending two articles to the ‘Temple’ booklet for issue 8, one is about the origin of the ‘Sinclair’ name, the other is an indepth study into ‘Le conte du Graal’ the very first Grail romance… add to that I have the pleasure of proof reading Andrew Collins’ new book, over the new year period, its destined to the publishers around the middle of January…
… so long nights in for me, being quiet, writing and reading… being cosey hopefully.
A Cool Yule to everyone and all the best for 2006… here’s to Psychicquesting.com continuing to expand in membership and activity
cheers
Yuri.
I think that the Hunt works on many levels… a common belief is the ‘gathering of souls’ to take to the other world, but i tend to agree with the notion of adventuring into the otherworld to bring back treasures… this would even tie in with orions re-appearance in the Autumn with all the fruits of the Autumn festival… the winter king bringing the neccesary treasures to help the people last until May.
Celtic myth is full of hero’s going to the otherworld to bring back treasures, in comparison, there are not a lot of stories of ‘soul gathering’, so i would lean to the ‘treasure’ hunting opinion.
The Dryad? she’s packing her bag and getting ready to fly (on Friday)
Thats a nice visualisation Simon, I had never heard it before… it has elements of yin/yang breathing from Chi Kung and Tai Chi but the colours is a nice addition.
In chi breathing there are no fixed rules but only general principles, but generally, as you breathe in, yang/masculine energy rises up the spine to the top of the head, and the entire body expands outwards a little; and as you breathe out the yin/feminine energy sinks downwards to your tan tien (centre) and your entire body withdraws in a little your whole body expands and retracts with the breath… this is very tidal in and out whole body breathing, the motion is a bit like a jelly fish inflating and deflating with the breath… though this is very small, an onlooker might not even see your body alternate at all… its an internal sensation.
I think really that you have answered all your original questions… you dont have any ‘closure’ in sight, in fact, you have a lot to do… writing and creating the media you mention… that in itself is another journey, and often further insights come once you put things out into the public.
I have also noticed that this stuff is like flowing water and if you get given a treasure from the otherworld, if you just sit on it, you block the flow of water and your psychic life can become stagnant… its almost as if, by putting your treasure out there, you open up the door for more treasures to flow through.
To hold on to something… sometimes it is wise to do so, until the right time comes along to reveal your treasure (only you can decide when that should be)… but its unwise to fall fearful of others running off with your ideas… if you give in to this kind of fear then you’ll never get anything achieved… there is no easy yes or know…
trust your feelings and follow your synchronicities.
In my own experience, nothing ever finishes and we are all just ‘links’ in an eternal ‘chain’ of moments…
…that said, some tasks are very straight forward in a ‘go over there and do that’ type way, but often you dont appreciate the bigger picture until many years later.
I dont think anything is ever over. What is yours will come to you, and nobody else can live out your own destiny, so people shouldnt be fearful of ‘others’ taking over their topic of research… that doesnt mean that you shouldnt be careful of others getting in the way and possibly misdirecting things… its why i am always saying, trust yourself and go with what feels right… there is no ‘one perfect way’.
You could say that the game is over when you die, but i believe in reincarnation, so i dont ever think things can be ‘over’… it is also an error in my opinion to assume that you know all there is to know about a certain area of research; as soon as you think that you have wrapped something up and sealed it as ‘complete’, that canny old universe will pull the carpet from under your feet… best to just keep rolling with it.
I think that ORION is a great topic for a thread.
This constellation really does appear to of been significant to early cultures. What with Giza mimicking Orions Belt and in Britain, the Thornbury (borough? cant remember) Rings in Yorkshire, archaeologists have agreed are representative of the three stars upon the ‘belt’.
My own project at the moment (putting together a booklet about Gwyn ap Nudd; – the ancient British god of ‘Ynys Witrin’ (Glastonbury)) He, I belive is represented by the constellation of Orion ‘The Hunter’.
Gwyn, is a hunting god. He is a lord of the otherworld, he goes out on wild nights, and is celebrated every May 1st as the ‘Winter King’ who battles and loses against the ‘Summer King’, but then returns to repeat his cycle.
Orion is the hunter. he is very much lord of the otherworld (the night sky) and he is very much the ‘winter king’ as he is only visible in the night sky (in Britain) during the cold months… dipping below the horizon around May and returning in the Autumn…
…Glastonbury Tor, Gwyn’s home, is located upon the large ‘Michael Line’ alignment which runs on the May Day alignment (this is when Gwyn fights the summer king.) The Welsh Triads say of Gwyn that he is one of the top three astrologers in the isle of britain (he is situated upon Aquarius of the Glastonbury Zodiac)… also, the tales of him going hunting in his ‘Wild Hunt’; every winter night, as you stand at the old Lake Village of Glastonbury, Orion the constellation is seen to rise out of Glastonbury Tore and hunt across the night sky!!!
This fascinates me… I am putting a booklet together because, if you pick up most Glastonbury guide books all you’ll read about Gwyn is ‘Gwynn ap Nudd, king of the Faeries’ being banished from the Tor by a christian hermit…. I dont think so.
Just a small response as to ‘why’ people go Questing… of course, there are probably as many motives as there are individual characters but I am reminded of the old Taoist saying,
“If you find a job that you enjoy, then you’ll never have to work again in your life!”
Really we are just talking vocation.
I, for instance, have a talent for artwork, and this is how I work to earn money. But, if money was no object and I didnt need any, then I would be questing all the time… by that, I simply mean, that I love and enjoy investigating and discovering new things and solving mysteries…
Its the same with Andrew Collins, its not that he is seeking some specific enlightenment, its just that he loves the game itself and wouldnt be capable of sitting down, being quiet , watching t.v. doing ‘normal’ things and never questing again.
We are what we are.
In my expereience, good questers dont have an ‘ego trip’ about what they are doing; they are simply doing what their vocation or calling, destined them to do… because it involves ‘other-realms’ doesnt neccessarily equate that it is spiritually profound… I know a few who are struggling to resolve their spiritual landscape even though they have done many quests; its really just another realm of human investigation… ‘inner space’ as opposed to ‘outer space’… Astronauts dont need to be spiritually profound, they just need to be good at their job, their calling; its the same for questers/researchers etc. reminds me of another Taoist saying,
“Before I became enlightened I used to chop wood and carry water. After I became enlightened, I chopped wood and carried water.”
