Just to add my two penyworth, some years ago I sold a hard back signed Seventh sword which made £125 so that hard back which went on ebay recently was a steal! ( wish I`d seen it grrrrrrr) I did see a hard back copy in Glastonbury at £75 recently ,How ever I`m back in work now ( had to move to wales to find work though) so unless I find spares I wont be selling any more questing gear on ebay ,…………unless of course any one wants to make me an offer I cant refuse for an original Meonia sword ,hehehehehe

aprapo of nothing I happen to be sitting a couple of yards from Pocklington street down here in devon , and re the Normans ,yes they did flatten just about all the old English Churches and cathedrals to rebuild , sort of putting there mark on the place type of thing

in reply to: Paradise Hill/Mound #2420

As an after thought Places with the name prefix of Paradise often have a history that links up with the old druidic religon ,much like the name Cold harbour which often applies to places situated on the side of hills

This is ringing bells with me ,checking through The Second Coming there is a mention of Andy`s group conducting a ritual to counter balance the Black Alchemist and the Friends of Hex on a Paradise mound just out side Eastbourn ,are we talking about the same place ?? and I also seem to remember some one else mentioning something rather nasty happening on a paradise Mound in that area of the world , it may possibly be in Demonic Connection. I`ll have to see if i can find it

I tend to agree with Yuri on this one especially following a personal encounter with what we firmly believe was a site guardian .

Some years back my wife and I were conducting a sword consecration ritual at the hill fort on little Solbury Hill outside Bath ,we will skip over how we came to be there and the fiasco at midnight in the pouring rain at West kennet long barrow and Silbury hill two weeks before suffice to say that some times the Gods test you and at least they have a sense of Humour .

We had just completed the Ritual ( what a rush !!) and thank you to who ever carved the mizmaze on top of that hill and were trying to get back to the car ,for some reason we were having trouble finding the path we used to get to the top of the hill and after finding my self and my mastiff up to our knees in mud we decided to trek across the top of the fort and follow the road back down .
As we started across the hill a tall thin figure appeared to emerge up out of the ground ahead of us ,I assumed that he had walked up a rise in the hill much like a ship sailing towards you over the horizon, but my initial though was that of a Dark ages type warrior figure compleat with spear !
At this time we had been having fun ( I think thats the word ) with a local black coven and I felt really threatend especially as my Mastiff had put her hackles up and was rumbling ,so putting my wife behind me we approached the figure rather circumspectly .
As he approached he sort of morphed untill when he stopped to speak with us we found a caricature farmer giles type figure complete with coller less cotton shirt ,cordaroy trousers and little round rimless glasses.I should point out that he was in shirt sleeves whilst we were in coats and scarves and the wind was blowing a gale,
this guy knew the Arthur legends backwards and inside out as well,he instantly knew that the rather large shapeless bundle strapped over my back was ritual sword and he voluntered that he had always visited the Hill fort every day .Now this guy looked about 90 and just getting up the hill had knackerd me ,after a very pleasent 15 min conversation he wished us good luck and went on his way .
Standing there slight bemused we both realised that some thing strange had happend , a couple of yards further on it dawned on me that there was no rise in the ground where he had appeared and he must have come up out of the ground as indeed it looked ,I stopped dead and pointed this out to my wife ,who with her usual aplomb replied yes and now he`s vanished !
Looking back behind us there was no sign of him unless he had fallen off the edge of the fort and just to make sure he hadn`t we back tracked to try and find him with no sucess.

The point I`m belabouring to make is that initially this figure was definantly one of menace ,so had we altered the forces on the hill and he had put on a physical appearence to check us out and realising that our intentions and workings were benign he then adopted a more friendly shape ?? one wonders at the forces that could place such a guardian with such abilities on a very remote and surley unworked spot .

Just checking back to an email received from Andy , he does stress that he had the seven swords when they performed the Form of the Lamb at the Heart of the Rose (any one know where that is ) but that several other swords have surfaced since then , with regard to Meonia abillity Andy does sign off with an instruction to use the sword wisely ! Curious that

surely this is a case of doing your home work , you would nt jump into the lake with out having learnt to swim if you didnt know how deep the waters where .so why take on the spirit world ( bad choice of phrase) with out learning your protections . We had a serious run in with a Black covon operating out of Lincolnshire and we encountered two incidents which were definantly wrong , Fortunatly in the first instance we had placed our protections around the house and although a very impressive spell definantly “landed”, it hit the wrong person and to spare the lady`s blushes we will leave that one alone .On the second occaision we were just returning home having completed a series of rituals which were the culmination of three years work when our car was written off literally on our door step by a little old guy in a ten year old BMW which was his pride and joy ,who had for some reason overtaken four cars and a 30 ton artic lorry on a series of blind bends and who immediatly put his hands up to the police as he sat on the kerb shaking with the immortal words of “” it was my fault ,I dont know why I did it, i never drive like that “. The funny thing was that at the very last moment we had decided to conduct the rituals the day before we had originally planned to , had we stuck to our original plan that car would have hit us head on ! Both of these attacks though were organised on the human plane .
Looking back to the Seventh sword ,green stone ,eye of fire etc the only occaisions when Andy and Graham end up in trouble is when they blindly walk into situations or get the protection wrong, Andy got his protective circle wrong at St Bennets abbey and his psychic nearly paid the price , Graham and his Party never even attempted any form of protectection when trying to find the Rampton Bell untill it was too late .
To be honest it has always amazed me just how little protection Graham and Andy and the rest actually use .
If your intentions are pure the Gods will normally protect you ,but remember the gods help those who help them selves.

in reply to: Lakehead Hill/Bellever Tor, Dartmoor #2348

more or less on the same subject , as we live in Devon My wife and I spend a lot of our time out on the moors chasing stone circles and standing stones etc , about two years ago we had a run in with the pixies of Dartmoor and would not be too keen for a repeat performance .We had gone out one Sunday morning onto langstone moor to visit the stone circle whic sits on Peter Tavy great common, its a fairly easy one to find ,just follow the track out from Peter Tavy ,hang a right at the tall standing stone ,skirt the Bog ( DEFINANTLY skirt the bog!) and the circle is a couple of mile into the moor, on this Sunday morning the weather was fine and visibillity very good but despite using a compass and ordance survey map the circle was`nt where it was supposed to be ,It finally appeared to our left and some way up the hill. to our delight it was a perfect circle with all the stones standing proud and erect although it did seem to take an extrodinarly long time to walk around what was in essence a very small circle . How ever we sat in the circle ,the moors to our selves ,a truely magical morning .
After a while we set off back to the car but decided to visit the burial cairns on White tor on our way back. the nearer we got to White Tor the worst the weather became untill at last we had to seek shelter behind some of the larger stones as the heavens opend .It was here that the fun started ,despite being less than half a mile from the track that would take us back to the car we could not get off that hill, every time we tried we got turned around or sent off in the wrong direction, remember we had compass. map .wet weather gear etc and knew our way around the moors. We spent three hours just trying to cover that half a mile ! Finally I found a spot back on top of the Tor which I knew from a previous visit faced directly into the bog but also faced straight onto the track out. so disregarding maps etc and keeping a large rock directly behind us to ensure we kept to a straight line we set off again with me looking back at that rock every five mins , as I looked back to my front after the fourth or fifth look back at the rock ” something “took off from in front of me , It was about four foot tall with a greyish sort of jacket but the thing that remains most clear was that it ran upright on cloven hoofs ,as I registerd it it slowly vanished from the top down. Both my wife and I saw the “thing ” clearly and both of us saw it vanish , The first thing my wife said was”Pixie led ,no wonder were lost ” and at that moment we stumbled back onto the track way . a turn to the right and then just a couple of miles back to the car thoughrly wet and tired.
Not being the sort of persons who like being given the run around by elementals we went back to the Tor the next weekend , sufficiently “armed” shall we say to deal with said elemental should it choose to appear again. This time how ever it was a different story .apart from a howling wind at the top of the Tor every thing was as it should be .
The funny thing was that when we went back to the stone circle it was`nt there, oh there was a circle there all right , with stones missing and others fallen and lower down the hill than it had been. but not the perfect Circle that we had found the previous week, We have been back to the same spot several times but have never managed to find our perfect circle again.
So did we slide in time for a brief spell or was the fun and games with the Pixie ? on the Tor the price we had to pay for finding the perfect circle ,I still dont know .

Incidentally we regularly find featherd offerings or charms , bits of wool tied with coloured yarn and black feathers in the stone circles especially around lambing time , I had always assumed that they were just “old religion ” offerings to protect the new born lambs , kinda reasurring in some ways .

in reply to: SWORDS OF MEONIA #2338

Hi , why did I keep searching for so long,I dont really know its just that at the time of the seventh sword saga ( I later discoverd) my wife and I were working independantly on a series of rituals that parralleled what Andy and the guys were doing and involved “mending” the sacred site/lay lines and for some reason I just felt that one day one of these swords would end up in our hands ,whilst I feel it has now arrived for a reason, at this stage we are awaiting developments .Our first meonia arrival was one of the brass copy swords that were cast from the black sword around the 1920`s ,the one thing I have never understood about the brass copies was why some one went to all the extra trouble to produce a hollow blade made from two parts of steel instead of casting a solid brass sword version of the original meaonia`s, indeed our brass copy appeared to have had some form of resin or incense actually inside the blade which was split when we found it . How many swords are actually out there ? as I understand it the ORIGINAl Meonia swords were cast back in 1772 by jacobite supporters of Charles Edward Stewert either in France or Italy , some of which made there way into England .A second batch was cast around 1879 and it was these swords that Mary Heaths meonia group used . The Brass copies were cast around the 1920 and I suppose to be accurate we must now add to the collection the “copy “swords that Andrew Collins had cast .
As to how many of the swords are knocking around in total, Some where amongst my files I have a letter from Andrew written in the 1990`s where he said that 13 or so meonia`s had already surfaced ,how many there is now is any bodys guess.
I`ve tried adding my pics but I`m afraid this site beats me so if you wish to email me ,merlin249@camalot.freeserve.co.uk I`llbe pleased to send the pics .
