I’ve noticed that prices are relatively low at the moment, down to the economic climate no doubt, evidenced by the number of bargains I’ve had over the past twelve months or so.

As a collector of such things, the current market has me in two minds – the value of my collection now, compared to what it cost to put together, is far far lower (not that this really matters), but at the same time I’m able to secure new items at a lower price.

Mind you, I have so many duplicates now I’ll be able to set up an Andrew Collins Book store soon……..

Taking Collins’ own advice, you can read the book(s) two ways, you can either believe them as presented or as a work of fiction. As long as they can be enjoyed for what they are then that’s great.

I re-read the book(s) a couple of months ago and felt that they represented a moment in time in Collins’ life. However, I still found them an interesting read nonetheless, especially as I’d forgotten most of the detail.

Personally, I believe that Collins was truthful in his account, although you obviously cannot rule out that he’d been set up in some way in some (or all) of the events he wrote about.

I watched it, but as I already have a copy (along with the accompanying leaflets / booklet) I made a concious decision that having two originals was a bit over the top when I know that others more desrving needed a copy.

Still haven’t listened to it completely yet.

Congratulations on the auction, thought that it deserved more than the final amount.

This week’s Metro (27th October) reported that the site had been put up for sale for £1.25m due to the failing health of one of the owners.

They hoped that any new owner would keep the estate open to the public, as they have done, although it’s not been reported if this was one of the conditions of any sale. The tone of the article suggests that it is not.

    Hi Michael,

Many thanks for the update, very much appreciated. I was really disappointed that I couldn’t make it, but I guess that’s life sometimes.

I can understand the frustrations with the artefact ‘quest’!

Did anyone manage to attend this year’s Weekender?

Regretfully, I was unable to attend this year’s event due to circumstances, so I was just wondering how things went over the weekend. Nice weather again!

    Hi Reiki Sue,

Many thanks for clarifying – I’ve had a long standing afinity with the Avebury area from an early age and was disappointed we couldn’t make it to the end, especially as Andy had covered some very interesting facts about the landscape in the area.

We’ll probably make a point of covering the barrow and springs when we’re there again later in the year.

    Thanks again.

    Kind Regards

Unfortunately, we had to skip the visit to the barrow and springs too.

My partner is recovering from some broken bones in her foot and although we started the trek, she started finding it difficult as we walked past Silbury Hill, so we decided to call it a day at this point rather than make the situation any worse.

Was there anything of further interest discussed by Andy at the final two locations Reiki Sue or was there just basically the meditations?

    Kind Regards
    Mark D.

    Hi Paolo,

Just mirroring Michael’s comments to say thanks for posting your review.

I was in attendance and hope to put up a summary of the weekend soon, although I’m not sure if it will be as well written as Paolo’s though.

    Kind Regards

Although I have yet to post, I am a regular visitor and I do believe that people passing through should be able to view the posts, but not post until they sign up.

It would probably increase the number of people interested in this field and increase the volume of posts to bot.

    Kind Regards
