Introducing - Philp K. Dick
I just signed up, and found this interesting thread. It's been many years since I read Phillip's books, and I remember only vaguely, well, I was always devouring sci-fi when I was younger. But one of the things that once made me feel like I was going crazy, was I actually saw physical reality being altered, and apparently went about an hour back in time myself (long story). This area has a quite unusual history, once upon a time, I think some very powerful shamans were here. I've looked into that history through anthropology. I also once stumbled upon a secret gov't. installation here (not a good thing to do) and I think it may have something to do with a thing the Nazis were working on called "the bell", a device that supposedly can alter the fabric of space-time. Friends who were with me saw some of this stuff too, so I'm pretty darn sure I wasn't delusional or anything, unless we ALL were! The German scientist who worked on "the bell" was named Gerlock, oddly enough, I think I am related to him. My great-grandmother was also a Gerlock, from the same area in Germany. Anyone who has info on the "bell" project, I would love to hear from you! |

Hi!
Don't know what to say other than glad I found this site. Not sure what to make of all this stuff. Weird things have happened to me all my life and I saw someone else post about their family being strange like mine. I have several strange objects that came to me through my parents being in the antiques business here. I'm a bit of a strange bird myself. In high school I had a chemistry teacher who was all into weird science. He hooked all the students up to a Van der Graaf generator looking for folks who could pass electricity through their bodies and light bulbs and turn on radios and such. I could do that; so could a friend, and he got so excited about finding 2 people like that, I thought the dude would wet himself. Didn't think much about it til one night at a carnival when I got shocked, and probably should have been killed, but I was OK. In the end, I think that is why medicine and stuff does not work for me like it does for other people, which sucks. I am not really all that crazy about the stuff that goes on; I really would just like to have a normal life like everybody else, but that just doesn't seem possible for me at this point. So here I am. Just trying to figure stuff out. |

The Roman Forum (Forum Romanum) was the political and economical centre of Rome during the Republic. It emerged as such in the 7th century BCE and maintained this position well into the Imperial period, when it was reduced to a monumental area. It was mostly abandoned at the end of the 4th century.
The Forum Romanum is located in a valley between the Capitoline Hill on the west, the Palatine Hill on the south, the Velia on the east and Quirinal Hill and the Esquiline Hill to the north. The Velia was levelled in Antiquity.
The importance of the Forum area is indicated by the presence of many of the central political, religious and judicial buildings in Rome. The Regia was the residence of the kings, and later of the rex sacrorum and pontifex maximus; the Curia, was the meeting place of the Senate; and the Comitium and the Rostra, where public meetings were held. Major temples and sanctuaries in the Forum include the Temple of Castor and Pollux, the Temple of Saturn and the Temple of Vesta. Commercial and judicial activities took place in the basilicas, the two remaining are the Basilica Aemilia and the Basilica Julia. Due to the political importance of the area there were also numerous honorary monuments. |

Ferriby Boats
Lately there's been a bit of a stir concerning the relative merits of solid planking vs. plywood for a clinker boat. I wonder if passions run similarly high when cedar strip hits the water? Some might see cedar strip as having usurped the traditional plank-on-frame, copper-fastened and oakum-caulked carvel hull - albeit somewhat Lego-like by comparison. As Adrian Morgan says of plywood, so cedar strip also looks a little strange (to me anyway) when finished with a clear coating; I'd want to cover up all those abrupt changes in grain and colour using something opaque. Nonetheless, I see cedar strip as just another good method for engineering a boat and, more than that, keeping the whole wooden boat scene alive and relevant. I do wonder how long cedar strip and epoxy will last - perhaps some owners of early cedar strip boats can comment on that? And how easy is it to repair? Since the (strip) planks are joined edge to edge by convexities fitting inside concavities it must be virtually impossible to replace small areas of planking - would a damaged hull be a write-off? But it's supposed to be a pretty durable recipe. (One designer told me the epoxy was strong enough by itself to hold the lead keel, without bolts, and maybe he was right but they fitted bolts anyway). The older I get the more I think buoyancy is the thing, however it's constructed. Crikey, these days I get a lift even boarding a pontoon and the ruddy thing's built of polystyrene! |

Goethe Anecdote
I would say very important – especially in a global firm where English can be considered a pre-requisite for a person’s career. It is often taken for granted today that most people speak English, but this is not always the case. What you have to consider is that there are many people who learnt some English at school but never really needed it for their jobs. They may understand when you talk to them in English, but when they have to express themselves or express a concept in English, it can be very challenging. And this is not only true for older generations.
You have a lot of practical experience in a multilingual company. Could you give any anecdotes?
The communication between German people and Swiss German people: Swiss German people are taught High German at school, so you would expect them to be at ease conversing in High German with their German colleagues. In reality, I have witnessed many situations in which Swiss people prefer to switch to English. They feel more comfortable speaking in a non-native language because they have a level playing field. It is a way of finding a comfort zone.
What other communication problems could arise?
We often notice discomfort among non-native English speakers when they are in meetings with native English or American colleagues, who are very eloquent. Native speakers often use certain expressions or anecdotes to really put their point across. This visual language is something that non-native speakers cannot match. Even though content-wise they might make very important points, they will not reach the audience with the same level of impact. |

Something weird in Hull
Hull City have been warned their uncertain financial position threatens the club's "ability to continue as a going concern". The club's accounts, filed five months late to Companies House, say that in the event of relegation the Premier League club will need to generate a £23m surplus just to meet their existing liabilities. The grim forecast from the club's accountants, Deloitte, emphasises the need for a financial overhaul during the next 12 months to safeguard Hull's future. Although the figures for their first season in the top flight will not be available until next year, the independent auditors' report, with its stark warning, does cover the club's current financial situation. |

Lincoln Cathedral: Sacred Geometry
I appreciate that a similar thread was started back in March or so, but here's a new twist. Most of you will by now be aware of my work concerning Lincoln Cathedral and linking it to RLC, Templarism and MM. Well...here's the latest installment and I rap my own knuckles for sleeping thus far. Lincoln Cathedral, I now see, is linked to Trondheim Cathedral, which you all will know forms part of the Golden Mean section geometry of the 'Viking serpent', the measurements at Trondheim being numbers that are to show the church to be a new Temple of Solomon, a Heavenly Jerusalem on earth. This is all the more interesting for me having announced the placename 'Jerusalem' here in Lincoln. Trondheim Cathedral archaeologist Oystein Ekroll has confirmed me that Trondheim has two pillars flanking the entrance to the Cathedral octagon with crockets and small columns identical to the two pillars in Lincoln Cathedral. Trondheim call them the 'Lincoln Pillars' and Lincoln Cathedral call theirs the 'Trondheim Pillars' (at the junction of St Hugh's Choir and the East Transept) Their pillars were made from stone masons from Lincoln as these crocket pillars are not known in any other Cathedral. Naturally, I see this link as deliberate, and involving the entire sacred geometry issue. Dan Green will see 'Nideros', the name for Trondheim Cathedral as concealing 'Niddah-Rose'..'Niddah' from the Jewish meaning 'menstruating', and 'Rose' of course with its female sexual connotations. Presently, Harald Boehlke is interested in pursuing these findings with me. To add to it all, if you nip to; www.templarmechanics.com and study some of the geometrical findings including the pentagram on the Lincolnshire landscape discovered by my friend Templar mechanic Tony Peart, its hub being Temple Bruer no less, you will see how Tony claims the Bruer geometry links also with RLC. I, for one, will be most interested to see what he unearths from further geometry involving Lincoln Cathedral itself. Although the Cathedral has played the most part in my finding a location relating to a 'physical treasure' relating to RLC, I was always of the opinion that it would also play a greater part in the RLC mystery, and still hope to be correct. |

Apollo 11-17 Command Module Pyrex Porthole, ORIGINAL (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=1467&item=39368614 54) What are the chances that this is a genuine command module hatch window from a moon mission? |

For those interested. There will be a Bilderberg Conference in Oosterbeek, the Netherlands, on 5 Feb. Today, when I was making a new appointment, I saw this listed in that persons agenda. So I said: Oooh, are you attending a Bilderberg conference??? On which he replied: oooh do you know that? How do you know about Bilderberg conferences? Oooh, I read some things about it |

Over the weekend there were a lot of issues with Pocket Queries being generated. For that I sincerely apologize. In an attempt to speed up the Pocket Query Generator, the application(s) that processes tens of thousands of Pocket Queries a day, there was a cascading number of issues that resulted in duplicate Pocket Queries going out, Pocket Queries without logs and Pocket Queries not being sent out for a certain amount of time. Also in the process, Pocket Queries were brought down to a trickle, resulting in Pocket Queries not going out at all. We're taking this issue very seriously at Groundspeak, and we'll be focusing on increasing the capabilities over this next weekend to ensure this never, ever happens again. By increasing this capacity we'll also be prepared to offer Pocket Queries with 1,000 results instead of 500. This will happen by the anniversary of geocaching (May 2, 2010). As those veterans to geocaching know, I'm not usually one to offer dates, but this one is solid. |

ST NECTAN'S GLEN
St Nectan's Glen has been described as amongst the ten most important spiritual sites in the country. (SX080885) There never was a St Nectan, the name is a Christianised form of the Cornish water god - Nechtan. The way down to the water is steep and slippery, but so beautiful. Hundreds of clouties, messages and small offerings crowd the minute ledges of the steep sides of the glen. It can only be reached on foot, but it is well worth the effort. The well house is at the entrance to the glen and is in a poor state. |

Thanks Michael for your input regarding copyright and Mr "C".
And thank you Dan/Herneson for responding to my query about the Green Stone video.
I would most definitely like to see a copy of this but appreciate that there may be certain difficulties involved if you copied to sell it. If this was not possible because of any intransigence on the part of the original makers of the video, then would you be prepared to perhaps post it on Youtube or similar?
Thanks!

If that's the Green Stone documentary that I've seen then Mr C didn't have anything to do with that one. It was done by Phillips, Keatman, et al, but without any involvement from Andy Collins. To avoid breaking copyright laws you'd need to get permission from Phillips and Keatman I expect, maybe others.

Hello
Sorry for finding this late. I have been rather busy lately and don't often check this site as often as I used to.
The artefact was a home-made pendulum made from a lead fishing weight on string. I happen to also have a photo of the stone from Gaynor which she kindly offered to sign and threw in with the pendulum. I still have it.
Now the Green Stone documentary. I do have a dvd backup copy of it which you've just reminded me about, thanks. It's been awhile since I viewed it, but it's definately worth seeing and a real rarity.

Give me a chance to locate it and we can go from there. I might even post it on you tube, but it's getting the time.
Dan

Hello Hernes Son,
Apologies for the late response to your earlier posting - I've omly recently joined!
What was the actual artifact that was being sold on ebay that Marion and Gaynor Sunderland had used in their psychic quests? I'd be interested to know just out of curisoity.
Also, from a few years ago I note that you bidded for a copy of The Green Stone video from, I believe, one Andy Roberts. Were you successful in this bid and, if so, do you still have the copy and are you prepared to make copies to sell to an interested party?
Many thanks for reading this.

Hi Michael,
Many thanks for the update, very much appreciated. I was really disappointed that I couldn't make it, but I guess that's life sometimes.
I can understand the frustrations with the artefact 'quest'!
Kind Regards
Baruc.

Psychic Questing Weekender 2009
Hello Baruc,
I went and had a great time, and yes the weather was fantastic. The first day was Andy talking about what you can achieve through psychic questing referring to his own work. The second day was about the practical side of you go about it.
So on the first day was the 30th Anniversary Green Stone presentation, as it is 30 years this October since the original Green Stone quest. This was followed by two further presentations about how more recently Andy has been going back to some of the threads of the 1979 quest and discovering a mass of interesting stuff. The afternoon was taken up by talks about questing in Egypt relating to the discovery of the Giza caves. All really interesting. Too much to go into here I'm afraid.
The second day had advice that I believe recaptitulated some of the material from last year's Weekender as well as the artificact retrieval fun and games. I have to admit to doing exceptionally badly at this! Having initially got a strong image of a stone and a clear idea of which quadrant of Avebury it was located in, I managed to find 'my' stone. However, it turned out that I was in the wrong quadrant. I also got completeley wrong the nature of the artifact - I kept getting the impression of something like a ice-cream stick with different colours on each side, whereas it was a small bronze horse thing. Oh well. All of us who got the wrong quadrant did get a second chance to locate the correct stone in the right quadrant. While standing I heard a metallic clink from somewhere behind me. Alas, when it came to facing the stone I thought it was from I was somewhat out. Obviously need to work on my latent psychic thingumy!
The weekend ended with a walk up Waden Hill, overlooking Silbury Hill. A meditation was done there, but I had to leave before the med. However, I went away with a golden glow.

Hi!
Hello The Lady B!
Welcome to this site (although I am a newby too, having only just discovered the site).
I note that you are from Barwell, Leicestershire and since I live in that county maybe we can share experiences and encourage one another in this field as the scene in Leicestershire at least is very quiet and there's no-one else as far as I am aware who is involved in PQ, let alone interested in the subject.
I hope to hear further from you in due course.
Many thanks!
